Automatic car washes, as much as they are convenient, are abrading your paintwork because the brushes used aren’t properly maintained. These machines are essentially like slapping your car with a dirty mop, causing hundreds of deep micro scratches called swirl marks. Over time, this damage builds and eventually results in your paint becoming dull and the scratches become easily noticeable.
Detailing is the term applied to the safe & thorough cleaning, decontamination, polishing, enhancement and protection to all surfaces of a vehicle. The benefits of having your car looked after correctly can mean, better resale price when coming round to exchanging or selling. Easier to maintain and a better environment to commute in.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The time required to carry out detailing correctly and to a high standard depends on many factors such as the size & current condition of the vehicle, the types of product we use and your expectations.
We do however aim to give you an estimated time before carrying out any work.

At Iconic Valeting each vehicle is assessed before hand to determine the amount of work required and we can advise the best course of action to suit your expectations.
Due to vehicle’s being various size’s & conditions we aim to discuss as much about the vehicle in question as possible to give you piece of mind before carrying out any work.
HOW DO WE WASH YOUR VEHICLE?
A car wash is a generic term for removing loose dirt before any other exterior process is performed. This can vary from a simple Bucket & Sponge to Dual Bucket Methods. Normal wash techniques such as a single bucket, sponge or brush can inflict damage to your vehicles paint and bodywork.
At Iconic Valeting we care about your vehicle and treat it as if it were our own. We always use Safe Wash techniques and each car receives several of pre wash treatments to safely remove dirt with no physical contact until safe to do so. We then proceed to use the Dual Bucket Method with grit guard inserts and use high quality Lambswool & Microfibre Mitts washing from the top downwards with dedicated area mitts for the ultimate care and protection of your vehicle.
Grit guards are plastic inserts placed inside each bucket to help remove any loose debris from our mitts before they are wiped across your vehicles paintwork.

No, we will make arrangements with you or discuss the best plan of action to accommodate your needs.
HOW CAN YOU PAY FOR THE SERVICE?
As we aim to make your experience as simple as possible. We can take BACs or cash.
We will take payment after the work has been complete. We will provide an invoice for each job carried out for your records.
WEATHER CONDITIONS?
The weather can always play a role when it comes to cleaning a car. We will plan accordingly for this. Our aim is to give you the best results possible and sometimes the weather can impact this from strong winds to heavy rain downfall. In the unlikely circumstance’s it does appear the weather will impact the outcome of cleaning your vehicle we may potentially postpone the job until our next available position. But will discuss this with you nearer the time.
OUR CAR IS VERY DIRTY WILL THIS COST EXTRA?
We understand that some customers cars are dirtier than others. Some vehicles are used for work/travel/leisure but this will indeed incur an additional cost. This is based upon working hours we put into the car getting it back to a satisfactory level. We aim to discuss this with you before carrying out any work giving you the option to choose a budget and match your expectations.
